Julian Voss-Andreae

Julian Voss-Andreae is a German sculptor based in Portland, United States. Internationally acclaimed for his large-scale achievements, the artist blends figurative sculpture with a scientific understanding of our reality.

Before his artistic career, Julian Voss-Andreae studied quantum physics and philosophy at the Universities of Berlin and Edinburgh. His multidisciplinary scientific expertise and his passion for the mysteries of quantum physics are a continuous and defining source of inspiration for his artistic work. His sculptures, like particles, assembled in a discontinuous manner, come together as a whole, disappearing and reappearing according to the viewer's perspective.
