MPCEM

Christophe Rotais, also known as Mpcem, is a French sculptor who lives and works in Brittany. A self-taught artist, he has been creating since 2008. Mpcem stands for "Mouvement Pour Corps et Mental" (Movement for Body and Mind). His artistic approach, through abstraction, explores the relationship between the body and the mind, inseparable entities.

The artist's intimate engagement with the material becomes a genuine outlet for his emotions, inquiries, and ideas. Within this introspective realm, the artist maintains an element of spontaneity, expressing his desire to "sculpt unreflected thoughts." As he puts it, artists "address the human mind, their imagination; my art is composed of suggestion, ideas, mystery."
