Paris Austerlitz train station

On the occasion of the modernization works at Paris Austerlitz Train Station, SNCF Gares et Connexions entrusted Quai 36 with the artistic dressing of its construction hoarding. The artist Pastel creates a monumental artwork that blooms over 30 meters long, celebrating the nature present in the heart of the neighborhood and just steps away from the station, in the Jardin des Plantes of Paris. This floral stroll accompanies the travelers of Paris Austerlitz and brings greenery and poetry to their daily journeys.

"I envisioned this artistic hoarding as a floral stroll that accompanies the travelers. Through this creation, I invite the viewer to contemplation. For the duration of an enchanted parenthesis, they can lose themselves in the multiple details that compose the mural. I drew inspiration from the neighborhood's environment, particularly the Jardin des Plantes where each of the depicted plants can be found. This dense vegetation takes its place in the heart of an architectural setting, that of the Grandes Serres du Jardin, easily recognizable thanks to the majestic glass roofs in the background of the composition." - Pastel
