JUMPINCOLORS

JUMPINCOLORS is the latest event presented by Hatchikian Gallery and Quai 36, continuing their artistic partnership. This spring will be marked by vibrant bursts of colors with the duo show featuring David Bruce and Simon Poter, curated by Audrey Hatchikian and Julie Frydman.

The combined perspective of an art gallery and an urban art production house provides a unique opportunity to appreciate the interplay between mural practice and pictorial exploration in the works of two artists who play with bursts of colors and stylized forms. Their creations are infused with the energy of urban culture, emerging from polychromatic graphic lines, and serve as a true antidote to the monotony of our everyday environments.

Inspired by the codes and imagination of urban playgrounds and their tribes of belonging, David Bruce and Simon Poter deploy a pop and vibrant visual language that is sunny and carefree, carrying a playful utopia that counters existential tragedy.

JUMPINCOLORS offers a shared artistic space for artists David Bruce and Simon Poter, and it extends until September 15, 2023, at the Quai 36 Exhibition Space in Romainville, in collaboration with Hatchikian Gallery.
