URBAN ART WORKSHOP WITH GILBERT MAZOUT

On the occasion of its grand open days, untitled « Making History », the Yvelines's Departemental Archives called on Quai 36 to conceive a workshop for all audiences, aiming for inviting the visitors to seize creatively the archives documents of the French department.

After consulting and selecting documents from the archives, the artist Gilbert Mazout created a black and white fresco, giving free rein for adults and children imagination. To that aim, they had posca felt pens at their disposal to bring life to the fresco.

Parents, teens and children followed one another all day long, the Yvelines Departmental Archives therefore welcomed several hundreds visitors.

Initially ephemeral, the fresco will stay until January for school groups visiting the Archives to contribute and complete the participative artwork.

Many thanks to Department Archives for their warm welcoming !
