David Bruce
David Bruce discovered graffiti during his adolescence in the suburbs of Paris. In order to play basketball with other kids, he would take the train to different courts. It's there that he encountered urban art, particularly graffiti. He started by sketching on paper and then painting along the train tracks and on trains. He was captivated by the magic of seeing his own work circulate.
The artist now has his studio in Liège, Belgium. The studio has become a new playground for expressing himself through paintings and sculptures, while maintaining the same energy from his youth. Memories of basketball are still relevant and often serve as the motif chosen by David Bruce.
