Francesca Pasquali
Born in 1980, Francesca Pasquali studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in her hometown of Bologna. Her research revolves around the poetics of the ordinary object. She draws from utilitarian objects of everyday life to divert them from their original function and interpret them from an aesthetic perspective.
Her exploration focuses on observing natural forms, which the artist imitates in structural texture, transforming plastic and industrial materials into complex and elaborate objects and installations.
The materials invite the viewer to touch and interact with the works, prompting a reconsideration of the beauty found in everyday elements. Another crucial aspect concerns her works' relationships with environments and architectural spaces that often define and alter the realization of the artworks.
