In these pieces, Marc Nucera expresses a delicate balance between the simplicity of the material and that of its use. The work emancipates itself towards more liberated forms, inspired by the very material they're made of.

Marc Nucera adorns some of his sculptures, or certain parts of them, with a skin or a draped effect achieved through meticulous cuts, a labor of patience and concentration. These are effects of folds and hollows that, most of the time, engage in dialogue with the wood's grain and curves, accentuating their beauty. Their directness heightens the natural quality of the wood and reaffirms their sculptural intent.
