Metro and RER stations
Ile-de-France 2022
The staircases of seven RATP metro and RER stations have been taken over by Quai 36 and seven French and international artists. Each artist was inspired by the history and heritage of the place to produce a work that fits perfectly into the daily life of users. From today, you can see these new works in the public space:
Pastel dresses the staircase of the RER station "Bourg-la-Reine" (RER B) with a floral work leading the energy of the station to the outside.
Tim Zdey offers a singular experience to users thanks to a playful and positive creation on the stairs of the RER station "Marne-la-Vallée Chessy" (RER A).
Agrume introduces nature into the urban space with its brand new work on the risers of the "Mairie de Clichy" metro station (metro line 13).
Ërell has worked with the colours of lines 2 and 3 to highlight the connection between these two lines with his new work on the stairs of the "Villiers" metro station (lines 2 and 3).
Ratur dresses the stairs of the "Gare de Lyon" metro station (lines 1 and 14) in reference to Arman's sculpture L'heure de tous and the clock tower of the Gare de Lyon.
Blo create a contemporary painting echoing the Château de Versailles on the stairs of the "Porte de Versailles" metro station (line 12).
Chris Puddy pays tribute to the great fighter Toussaint-Guillaume Picquet de La Motte with a poetic illustration of waves on the risers of the stairs of the "La Motte - Picquet Grenelle" metro station (lines 6, 8 and 10).
