Quentin DMR
Born in Le Havre, Quentin DMR brings a new soul to the urban spaces he invests, by using and displaying series of photograph pieces of black and white portraits embodying urban spaces.
He defines himself as a "plastic-photographer", two opposite and yet joined terms. He experiences, hijacks and reroutes the gaze and carries out a "deconstruction of the image". It is neither a question of destroying the representation, nor of accommodating its stereotypes, the aim of his experiments is to push the spectator to actively take part in the recomposition of the image. For the real role of these pieces is to question the image language. An immersive and philosophical encounter between a reality and the meaning people wishes to attach to it.
